Hands On (Skills Empowerment)

Empowering Women, Youth, and People with disabilities through vocational training is central to our mission of poverty reduction and sustainable development. We offers skills development programs in areas such as tailoring, agriculture, IT, and entrepreneurship, ensuring that vulnerable individuals are equipped with practical skills that can enhance their employability and provide income-generating opportunities. Through Hands On initiative, we empower vulnerable individuals with the skills needed to pursue careers, start businesses, and contribute to local economies.  Our Hands on Project is currently running in Mwinilunga District at Our School Dreams of Hope Academy.

Key Initiatives:

  • Tailoring and fashion design training programs for women and youth.
  • Carpentry skills development, equipping individuals with the tools to create their own businesses or find employment.
  • Computer literacy programs that enhance digital skills for employability and entrepreneurship.

Impact:

  • Over 20 women and youth have gained practical skills that help them secure jobs or establish businesses.
  • Increased economic self-sufficiency and confidence among participants, contributing to reduced unemployment in the region
